We are using this near the door that enters from the garage. It's is just right for the space - kids shoes go in the bin, the 3 hooks are great - 1 for each child and if we had more kids it's actually a double hook so more light coats could be hung. Just enough space under the hall tree for one pair of my husband's shoes and one of mine. We all know how much will fit so if it doesn't fit then it belongs up in their or our closet. Color is warm and is neutral for just about any decor. It was easy to put together - the only tricky part was putting the lid on the bin - you really had to reach under to get the screws in - that part took both my husband and I. Other than that I was able to assemble it myself. We've been using this for about a week and it has kept that small space (19"x31") very neat and organized when we come home from any outing. A place for everything and everything in it's place. :o) I would recommend this if you have a small space - it's working beautifully!

I preface this review by saying I blame all problems on jobber not vendor. They only sell this product and do not make it. Product arrived with minor and major finish flaws. Too many to keep. Ordered replacement. Vendor was very good about this.
Product was misrepresented by manufacturer---not vendor. It is listed as solid wood, but in reality it is particleboard with a thin coat of some type of liquor finish. Gaps in joints and screws were stripped out which is typical for particle board.
This piece is not wood. It is particle board and cardboard glued together. There is no solid wood on this product.
It was not up to my standards comparing it to my other furniture in my entry way which is solid wood. Color also was not as stated. It is a very dark brown black while the picture looks like it has a red shade.
When assembled it seemed sturdy enough, but there were so many flaws in the finish and major dings and scratches it did not look anything like the picture. It look cheap and unappealing.
I contacted the vendor and they were very helpful. They took note of my displeasure and are sending me out another one. I will scrutinize this one very closely before I attempt to assemble it. If there are major finish flaws I will send this one back too and buy something more expensive of a better quality.
This is an honest vendor and is doing everything to correct this situation. They are a pleasure to work with. Don't give up on them if you have a problem. It is not their fault. Bottom line: You get what you pay for.

Bought this for my entry way. Size is perfect and it looks gorgeous. Finish is very nice, looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture. Assembly was tedious but did not have any problems with it. Worth every penny!

Comments about Richland Mini Hall Tree - Espresso:
The item was shipped promptly and was tracked easily. The biggest flaw was the packaging. They pack it loosely and with very thin foam between the boards. Obviously traveling by air and ground it was a total mess when I opened the box. The foam was destroyed and so by all the movement, the product was dented and scratched.I ended up using stain and dark brown markers to cover the flaws. It was so bad I should of asked for a full return.I ended up assembling the product anyways to see if the worst spots showed. That was a chore in itself because some of the instructions were wrong. Some holes were just not there according to the pictures. The hooks are tilted, the shock for the seat pulled out and there are many gaps.I assembled it in about an hour and a half.I was hoping some of it was real wood but it is all MDF. Overall it looks good in the space but not if you are up close. I will keep it but if anything they should give me a discount.I will provide some packaging pics.

Comments about Richland Mini Hall Tree - Espresso:
This is a great little piece especially because it is narrow and fits into small areas. However my husband had a lot of problems putting it together. There are no pre-drilled holes, he received numerous extra pieces of hardware and not enough of others, don't even get me started on the hinges that go inside of the lid...we just left them off. The wood is pretty cheap and will break easily so be careful!
Like I said it is cute but you need the patience of Job to get it put together.

Comments about Richland Mini Hall Tree - Espresso:
The piece looks ok, but it is not very sturdy; definitely not a family heirloom and definitely not real wood. Not saying that I expected much more for that price either. Also, I can't see it holding up to long term use. we have not even had it a month and the 'wood' is chipping and peeling. We hang jackets on it regularly and it's just not holding up. The first one that was sent had duplicate pieces of some parts in it and was missing others. In order to receive the correct parts, they had to ship a complete new one and told me to just dig it out of the box, combine the remaining parts, and then ship it back. What a hassle! not to mention they made me pay for the second one until they received the return back and could credit my account. Of course no apologies either... as if it should have been expected that I receive a mistake
